POST 1: How I plan my WLE January 6, 2010

 Well finding a internship has been really difficult for me I've been calling on and off to many companies, but have not got any calls back. The place I really wanted to work at was Sega of America it was the organization that I was most interested in. My plan is now to get any job as possible because I do not want to fall behind. The reason why its taken me so long to find a job is because I really want to find a jb that is not boring and has some what physical work. Today I will try to call as many places as I can. On the job shadow day i just called a whole bunch of companies but sadly I was not accepted in any of them.

Post 3: After All This Time I got Myself a Job January 27,2010

 Today was my first day working at my internship, and I honestly got to say that It was boring, but also interesting. I felt like my mentor was like my teachers. She had a lot of patients and explained everything very well. My mentor tried her best to keep me productive. Since I got my internship really late any job would do so I really did'nt care what I got as a job. I was hoping to bond a lot with the other workers, but it looks like it aint going to happen, not even the workers themselves talk to each other is fairly quit and knowing me, thats really difficult to do,but I think thats a good thing, it keeps me really productive.I hope it gets better over time, or maybe I just got to get use to the enviroment. This whole day was different and different is good sometime. I learn new things and got a glimpse of how its going to be every Wednesday.

Post 5: Computers and Computers

I think that communicating effectivly is something that my WLE has showed me how to do better. I know that Impact also helps in doing that by having exibitions, but it feels different when your using it in the real world especially in a job. A leadership skill that Impact has helped me in that I have been using at my WLE is effective project management, because I don't have all day to finish one simple litttle thing I need to think of ways that will make my work go by faster. I think that my role as a student and my role as a intern are very diverse. In school I feel more freer and I feel like I can say anything I want to, but in my internship I feel more boxed in like i really have to think before I talk or just not say anything. Over all this day was pretty much a on going day where I just had to punch in numbers into a computer.

Post 6: Grading myself

 well I think I have been doing really good in my WLE I think my mentor and I have got along and I really do consider her as my teacher. During these work days I have been filing and working on the computer. I think that this will be very important for me to learn because I might be using these skills in a future job. Mastery of knowladge has been big part of my internship because I had to do the same constant thing and I had to learn how to do it. I think I at least deserve a 3.5 because I have been tring my best in metacognition and application of knowladge were both things that I could do so it was no problem Ill give myself a 3.5. as for collage work habbits I give my self a 4 because I always paid attention and did what I had to do. I also I completed everything that I needed to complete. Out of 4 i think I deserve a 3.5 because I have been responsible and I have done my work. The reason I don't give myself a four is because I still need to learn a lot more.

POST 7: Creativity 

today was really cool I finally finished that humongous list that had to be done by today. Then my mentor told me to make a fax layout that she can send to clients, that part was really cool because I got to do something creative and different. When I was time to do my blog I was looking at other peoples and many either dont write anything or jus say that they havent got a internship yet. That makes me think that I guess Im doing better than others. Some I read that did have some stuff that did have to do with the internship, but nothing special they were kind of like mines. Im not going to mention any names but a lot of the peoples blogs that I saw were funny if you knew the person.

POST 8: Analyzing my Workplace

my business i small and everyone reports to one boss except me who reports to my mentor. The office is really professional and that important in collage.

Post 9: SWEEP just SWEEP

Today everything was new I had to call a lot of people and verify there fax numbers some people were polite and some where less than ordinary. It was a new experience because these calles helped HPS in many ways and I did not want to fail my company. Through out the phone call everything was getting easier and easier except for the people who asked to many dang questions that I didnt know, my mentor would give me tips for how control clients that asked to much, it mostly all helped. The only complaint I had is right after lunch theres this window right under where I do my work the sun smacks me right in the face kind of annoying but funny. I always pray for that dam sun leaves because I cant look at my screen, but what can I do. For my exibition I working on the fax layouts that I will soon be sending to clients. Its going to be my own design and the boss first has to approve it 

Post 10: time

well i have accumalated all my times and altogether i have 77 hours a little over what im suppose to have. what I did today was work on my long list of numbers that I needed to verify. I finished 2 lists already which have a estimate of around 600 numbers and over im on my third list which has about 700 numbers Each time I call I have to verify the persons fax. That was basically the whole sum of my day. I got use to all this so its pretty easy and if I ever need help I got my mentor to give me a hand. Overall the day was justb straight foward it was pretty much a on going day doing the same thing and I really dont mind. I still have to work on my exibition project for the presentation we have to do about our WLE, for some reason I did not work on anything like that today, I really need to work on that.

Post 11: wle project

i have not yet started my wle project. My mentor says we are starting next week. All that i am sure is that I will be doing a fax Layout for the coustomers that we trying ti market to. I still have to finish the verified numbers before I go any further. I am sure tht I will finish that by next week.

Post 12 : wle project 2

I have started my project and so far it looking good my mentor and I have figured out a good way to present my project. My mentor is really smart so I take all her info tat she gives into consideration so far all that she has said has made me start my project really quick I think that this project will come out fine I have a well thought out presentation, I just hope thaton the day of the presentation I do well.

Post 13: the end is here

Well the end is here and what a trip it was I learned so much and I am really thankful for that.today I worked on my wle exhibition project all day and now all I have to do is alot of indvidual work. Ithink my project is pretty simple I just got to know what im talking about. I didnt know that we had to cook for the teachers but since we are I havent decided yet. I will probably make spegeti because that is a food im good at making.  am really thankful for havinh sucha great mentor I dont know what I should get her for a gift so ill just ask my mom because shes a girl and she'll probably know. All in all this was a great experience and I hope next year I will get a new mentor that is just as good as Mrs. Anita.

Post 1: How I plan to get my WLE: Oct 26th

Well I plan for this time to get a internship that will make me feel accomplished in the long run. I want to get a internship that I will like and is to my choice. I really want to work for IGN but I take that as my last resort because i know that it will be the most difficult place to intern at. I was trying to meet people that know people in the game industry, but I never got the chance or the person couldn't meet with me. I really want to see how the game industry is. but if it doesn't work out for me than i will try to look for a big business to intern for to see how the business community is. i don't care how long it will take as long as i am content with my internship unlike last years which was a last minute thing. I will try my best to get my dream internship. So far I have been denied by everyplace that i had in mid as a for sure internship, ( i guess i was wrong) so now i am going to try to pick out my most favorable internships as my last resort.
